Who pays VAT?

Germany: 19%

Shipments within Germany are always charged German VAT at a rate of 19%, since the shipments originate from Germany.

European Union & Northern Ireland: 19%

Shipments within the European Union are usually charged German VAT at a rate of 19%. We have not yet exceeded the new EU OSS distance selling threshold for B2C sales, as we mostly sell B2B, so we continue to charge German VAT for European deliveries.

European Union with VAT ID: 0%

Shipments out of Germany within the European Union for orders with VAT ID are charge 0% VAT, by intra-community supply reverse charge method. The customer must register a business account with a valid VAT ID for the checkout system to automatically remove VAT. When using a VAT ID, the shipping address must match EXACTLY the billing address registered with the VAT ID (no exeptions). A VAT ID and address check is performed before approval of 0% VAT.

Rest of the World: 0%

Shipments out of the European Union and to the rest of the world are tax free, and no VAT is charged.

Customers are responsible for any import duties and taxes that may be charged by their countries. Import fees are pre-paid by FedEx when the package arrives in your country, but before actual delivery. So if the customer rejects the delivery and the package is returned by FedEx, then the import fees and shipping costs cannot be refunded and will be deducted from your refund.

Displayed Prices Usually Include VAT

Displayed prices usually include VAT, except when you enter a non-EU country destination into the shopping cart shipping estimator. Then the VAT is automatically removed from the prices. For business customers, after you sign up a new business account with your VAT ID, the VAT is automatically removed from the prices if logged into your business account.

Payments are made in EUR currency.

Rounding of Prices and Fractional Cents

Prices displayed only show 2 decimal places, but may actually have a value of up to 4 decimal places and contain fractional cents. Due to the rounding of the displayed prices, the displayed total prices may differ from what the Customer may expect by a few cents. However, the displayed total price (Brutto, Zahlbetrag) and VAT are the final charges.
